The Bath Coffee Festival
The Bath Coffee Festival returned for a very successful second year on 21st and 22nd May. We were proud to sponsor the festival again and had a great time meeting some true coffee aficionados.
We designed our stand to look and feel like an art gallery featuring the coffee packs as individual works of art. All our blends were available for tasting, which was a great way to highlight the different tastes of each blend as they could be tried side by side.
Our entire team of coffee buyers were there – Mike, Rick, Hannah and Emily – all doing a sterling job talking to visitors on all sorts of topics, from the farmers we work with who they visit regularly, to the intricacies of coffee blending and roasting. They also shared their expertise through The Demonstration Theatre and, new this year, The Coffee Academy – a series of really popular hands-on workshops.
The Take it Easy tent was back with some brilliant up-and-coming local musicians, free newspapers and cups of Take it Easy coffee. Hundreds of people came here to relax and enjoy the music. Click to see the videos.
Also new this year was ‘The World of Coffee’ area, where our Yorkshire Rainforest Project appeared. We brought to life how we’re going about saving an area of rainforest the size of Yorkshire, and had fun at the same time with children queuing up to make butterfly and dragon wings decorated with recycled packaging.
Check out the photo slideshow on this page and the video clips to see what a great time everybody had!
